The science behind your Uzima Score

Cutting-edge rPPG technology reads 14 vital signs from your face in 45 seconds. No contact. No equipment. No doctor needed.

PreCure health scan

Your phone's camera becomes a health monitor.

Remote photoplethysmography detects micro-changes in skin tone caused by blood flow — invisible to the eye, readable by your camera.

rPPG (remote photoplethysmography) works by detecting imperceptible colour changes in your skin as blood pulses through your capillaries. Your phone's standard RGB camera captures these variations at 30 frames per second. Advanced algorithms then extract a rich set of cardiovascular and wellness signals — all processed entirely on-device, in under 45 seconds.

  • Standard 30fps RGB camera — no specialist hardware required
  • Entirely on-device processing — no facial data sent to the cloud during scan
  • 45-second scan — faster than a blood pressure cuff reading
  • Zero contact, zero radiation — safe for repeated, daily use
  • Validated across Fitzpatrick I–VI — including darker African skin tones

The same scan. A different lens.

For insurers, employers, and government — the PreCure Risk Index (PRI) translates the same 45-second scan into risk intelligence at population scale.

The same biometric data that powers the personal Uzima Score is re-framed as an organisational risk signal. Green / Amber / Red stratification enables population-level health management — whether for underwriting, workforce planning, or national health programme design.

  • Green / Amber / Red stratification for risk pools and workforce health management
  • Aggregated & de-identified — individual data never shared with employers or insurers
  • Scalable from day one — 10-person SMEs to national health schemes
  • Trend tracking dashboard — monitor workforce health improvements over time

Everything you need to know.

Straight answers about the technology, accuracy, and data privacy behind PreCure.

No radiation at all. rPPG uses your phone's standard RGB camera at 30fps — the same camera you use for selfies. There is no electromagnetic radiation, no infrared beam, and no contact with the body. It is as safe as taking a photo of yourself.
Our scanning technology is FDA 510(k) cleared for heart rate (K223622) and respiratory rate (K243966). In clinical trials across 527 subjects, pulse rate accuracy was within ±3 bpm across all Fitzpatrick skin tones (I–VI), including darker African skin tones. No systematic bias was detected across skin types.
Your facial scan is processed entirely on your device — it never leaves your phone during the scan. Only license verification requires an internet connection. All data handling is compliant with Cameroon Law 2024/017 and GDPR. We never sell your health data.
During our pharmacy kiosk pilot, no app is needed — just walk up, scan, and receive results on WhatsApp. A consumer app for iOS and Android is coming soon. Follow us or register your interest to be first to know when it launches.
A blood test is more comprehensive for certain conditions but requires a clinic, trained staff, and waiting days for results. PreCure gives you real-time vital sign data — heart rate, blood pressure, SpO₂, HRV, and more — in 45 seconds, anywhere. The two approaches complement each other; PreCure is not a replacement for clinical blood work when it is indicated.
The scanning technology holds FDA 510(k) clearance for heart rate and respiratory rate. All data operations comply with Cameroon Law 2024/017 on personal data protection. We do not make diagnostic claims — the Uzima Score is a wellness indicator, not a medical diagnosis.
Yes. Clinical validation specifically included Fitzpatrick V–VI subjects, covering darker African skin tones. No systematic bias was detected across skin types. Results were within ±3 bpm for all groups — the technology was designed to work equitably across the full human spectrum.
PreCure is a wellness tool, not a medical device for clinical diagnosis. If you have a known medical condition, are pregnant, or are managing a chronic illness, please consult a qualified healthcare professional before using the scan as part of any health management programme. PreCure is designed for healthy adults 18+ and must not replace medical advice.
